It was such an honour to illustrate a wedding map for my dear friends Emma and Charles. As founders of lifestyle brands Emma Kate Co and Orbitkey, they have a strong eye for design. They created a wedding stationery suite with understated elegance, using lettepress, soft artisanal paper, silk ribbons, and a pocketfold invitation with information cards.
It was important to create a playful addition to their suite, but keep a minimal aesthetic at heart. With Emma’s signature lettering as a guide, the illustrations were painted with a breezy informal style, in a colour scheme chosen from her brand colours of delicate sage, earthy pink, taupe and cremes.
