Bespoke Wedding Stationery - Order Process

1. Browse the work and get in touch
Have a look through the paintings and designs, to give you an idea of the kind of style and design on offer. Drop me a line via email, giving a brief description of your event, and any inspirations you may have already seen, on Pinterest for example.

2. Getting to know you
You'll receive a few questions, to find out more details about your event, the celebrations (such a venue, colours, theme), you as a couple, and the stationery you require. This will help visualise how those details can be illustrated in your wedding stationery, and give a price estimate for your project.

3. Quote, contract and booking fee
I'll put together a quote for your stationery and a timeline. Then, a signed contract and deposit are due before we go ahead to the next stage.

4 Mood board, colour, sketches and design concepts
We'll go into more detail about your design, creating colour swatches, and a mood board based on your vision or inspirations. This can happen over phone, email, or Skype, whatever is easiest for you. I'll send over preliminary design sketches for each piece, and you'll choose the ones that feel right for you.

5. Design creation and approval
The final design is created with watercolour illustrations and hand drawn calligraphy or typeset fonts. You'll have the chance to review the deigns and make any tweaks, before giving the thumbs up that the suite is approved and ready to print.

6. Printing and accessorising
Once the stationery has been printed and delivered to the Roxwell Press studio, the prints are carefully checked to make sure they're perfect. Then envelopes and ribbons are selected, in colours which compliment the colours in the prints.

7. Package and shipping
With envelopes assembled and ribbons tied, your stationery is packaged beautifully and posted to you via tracked delivery. Delivery estimates are normally 3-6 weeks from approval of the design to arrival at your door, depending on address.

8. Enjoy your stationery and delight your guests
Mail your guests and the excitement begins!

Wedding Stationery Timeline

Here's an ideal time line for your stationery. Lead times can vary per product, so it's best to get in touch around 3 months before the stationery is needed. I have helped clients at short notice, so if you need a quick turnaround please do get in touch and I'll do my best to accommodate you.

Your wedding date is set, and venue booked. Now it's time to start thinking about stationery design! Get in touch to discuss pricing and stationery options, and let's start developing the vision.

6 – 8 months ahead
Send your save the dates. This will allow your guests to plan their travel and accommodation. If you're having a destination wedding the ideal time is 10-12 months ahead.

Finalise the wedding invitation and RSVP designs. If you're including a guest information insert, check all the accommodation and travel details.

3 - 4 months ahead
Send the wedding invitations and RSVPs. You'll want to give your guests plenty of advance notice to join in your celebrations. If you've already sent your guests a save the date card, it's possible to leave this till 2 months before the wedding date.

2 – 3 months ahead
Discuss and plan 'on the day' stationery. Such as order of service, menu cards, table numbers and table plan. Even if you don't have all the text finalised at this stage, we can begin work on the designs.
