Roxwell Press at Pulse London trade show

In May, Roxwell Press made it’s trade show debut at Pulse London, a design-led event that showcases new talent. It’s one of the smaller shows in London, and felt like a good place to begin, particularly with my home/studio location being a 20 minutes cycle ride to the venue at Olympia! Ladybird by Design exhibition


The first thing I noticed on entering the Ladybird by Design exhibition at the House of Illustration, is how times have changed. On the wall are some early paintings of travel book covers, each showing an image of a featured country with a commercial jet flying across the corner. Seeing a Boeing 707 rising above a scene of African village life seems, well, a bit wrong with our awareness of conservation in the environment and culture.
